Board of Trustees Meeting
July 12, 2010
Present: John Bobo (Chairperson) , Bobby Hatchett, Wanda Bobo, Lori Donaldson, Pastor John Donaldson (non voting).
Painting of the church basement interior – including the Choir / Youth room, Sunday School room, hall, bathrooms -- was discussed. We have received bids from Eric Prince ($1,650 with a promise to write a check to $150 for Youth Group), John Bennett ($2100), and have requested a bid from Shane Polk but not yet received. Trustees voted 4-0 to accept Eric Prince’s bid, Bobby Hatchett will notify.
John Bobo will look at putting combination locks on the new water spigots.
All the supplies are now in for the electrical pole in the Pitts–Jones Field, Bobby Hatchett will work on soon.
Sleeves have been purchased for florescent lights in the church basement.
Electrical plug has been purchased for the dehumidifier; the line still needs to be drilled through the wall for water drainage, if needed.
Discussed making a project priority list for repairs, so that we could budget accordingly. On the list thus far are the (1) the Choir room external door, (2) the ramp & handrail at food pantry, (3) new blinds in the Fellowship Hall and the Pastor’s office.
Voted to pay Jasco Plumbing invoice of $165 and Prince Drywall invoice of $250 for the bathroom renovation project in the church basement. Voted 4-0.
Voted to approve up to $500 for the purchase of blinds, lights, and ceiling fans for the church basement and Sunday school room renovation. Voted 4-0.
John Donaldson will contact Victor Robinson regarding building a ramp and hand railing into the DFCFM Building.
